"We had root intrusion and a blockage at our 90-year-old Toronto home. Ironically, it was not the old clay pipe that was the problem, but the plastic pipe that replaced the old clay trap back in 1985. It had been badly connected to the clay, and dipped in the middle so it could never drain. Serba from Roto-Rooter diagnosed the problem with the video camera, and provided a quote for the excavation. The crew (Terry, Ivan and Dimitri) arrived on time and were all competent and insanely hard working. They were meticulous and did not cut any corners. Even when an ancient pressurized water line ruptured in the trench, they pounded the old line shut, and I called the City. Watching the city workers who were idle 90% of the time and, in one case, staggeringly incompetent, made the work ethic and competence of the Roto-Rooter crew even more remarkable. If every contractor was as good as these guys, life would be sublime. I will always call Roto-Rooter for these kinds of problems. They have not let their success and growth diminish the quality of their work. They deserve their success."
